The Tooth Fairy sets up home at GL11

Less than half of children in Gloucestershire are able to access an NHS dentist, and local rates of dental decay in 3-year-olds are higher than the national average. This new Tooth Fairy project, will help give local children the best chance of growing up with healthy, happy smiles.

In this month’s column for the Gloucestershire Gazette we’re sharing an exciting update about the launch of our new Tooth Fairy project. This initiative aims to improve families’ knowledge around toothbrushing, oral hygiene, and making healthy choices to look after young children’s teeth. With long waits for dental care and treatment in the South West, this project gives Cam and Dursley families access to preventative advice from a dentist, an oral health professional, and a children’s nutritionist from BeeZee, all at GL11. Monthly drop-in sessions with the Tooth Fairy will take place every second Friday of the month between 9:30am and 11am, and there is also a 5-week programme for families who would like some extra support to keep their smiles beaming. For more information, please give us a call on 01453 548530.
