Crochet Classes
Get Hooked on Crochet! Are you a wannabee crochet newbie or would you like to master the basics? Then join us for our brand-new Crochet Class for beginners with the fabulous Esmé.
All materials provided, along with free tea and coffee, plenty of guidance and good conversation.
Mondays from 16 February to 30 March (no session 23 February).
1:30 - 3:00pm.

Needlefelting Classes
Needlefelting is a wonderful, versatile craft which is mindful and rewarding. Using simple techniques and colourful yarn you will transform the fibres into a beautiful 2D image, using your favourite photograph for inspiration.
All materials provided, along with free tea and coffee, plenty of support and good conversation.
Wednesdays (25th February, 4th March, 11th March. 18th March, 25th March, 1st April).

Stir It Up!
Join us for Stir It Up! with Erin Baker of the Natural Cookery School, part of the Stroud Valleys Project Stitch and Stir Roadshow.
Erin will be showing you how to make the most out of seasonal produce and ingredients from your pantry. You’ll learn how to make easy, tasty dishes that are nutritious and delicious – with nothing thrown away.
After the session, you’ll come away with new skills and the ability to cook delicious and affordable seasonal meals that everyone will love.
A creche is available for children aged up to 11; this must be requested when booking your place.

The session is free thanks to funding from Gloucestershire County Council but there is a £5 returnable deposit and booking is essential through the Stroud Valleys Project website. If the deposit is a barrier for you, please email kerri@stroudvalleysproject.org.

Wine Tasting
Explore a selection of locally produced wines and nibbles, learn tasting notes and enjoy a delightful evening of flavour and conversation.
We will be joined by Laura from Road Green Vineyard in North Nibley who will walk us through a selection of their locally produced wine, accompanied by a selection of nibbles from Eastington Farm Shop. Laura will give the history and context of the wine selection, as well as highlighting tasting notes and pairing suggestions. There will also be the chance to purchase bottles at the end of the tasting.
Tickets are £30 (plus booking fee) and available from our Eventbrite page by following the link below.
This is a fundraising event for GL11 Community Hub's Connect & Nourish project. All proceeds from tickets sold, and a percentage from the sales of bottles, will support community-led food infrastructure in Cam and Dursley, tackling poverty whilst building skills and healthier, more connected communities.

GL11 Community Cafe
Our Community Cafe is open for home cooked food Monday to Friday. Sharon and her team of volunteers serve up hot drinks, cakes and lunches.
As part of our weekly Warm Wednesdays, the cafe serves £1 hot food all day between 10am and 4.30pm.
On Thursdays, pre-booking is required for our £5 two course community lunch for the over 55’s. Call us on 01453 548530 to book yourself a space at our community lunch table.

DiversiTea - GL11's Neurodiverse Cafe at Dursley Methodists
Join us for GL11's pop-up cafe in Dursley Methodist Church, 10am - 2pm, every fortnight.
Accessible, affordable and inclusive. Everyone is welcome.
Run by GL11 Explorers group as a friendly, safe place to meet for song, laughter and fun, with tea, cake, and activities!
DiversiTea & Cake usually runs first & third Monday each month, other than on days when GL11 is closed.

Join our peer support group for anyone experiencing chronic pain, with weekly meetings for coffee and a chat plus monthly wellbeing sessions and activities.

Exercise classes for over 60s
GL11 Community Hub is now offering affordable and enjoyable exercise classes for adults aged 60+ in the GL11 area. Together we'll take part in strength, balance and flexibility exercises before having some social time with tea and coffee.
£3 per session.
Tuesdays 10am - 12pm at Quarry Chapel, The Quarry, Cam, GL11 6JB (starts 13 January).
Tuesdays 2 - 4pm at The Chantry Centre, Long Street, Dursley, GL11 4JB (accessible by public transport, free long stay car park available on Long Street).

A Place to Grow: GL11 Garden Group
Join our new growing group and together we'll learn new skills and transform an underused outdoor space at GL11 into a vibrant garden filled with vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Led by Clare, an experienced gardener and horticulturalist, the group will run in 8-week cycles, according to seasonal task.

Spring cycle (14 April – 2 June): Getting Growing
Summer cycle (9 June – 28 July): Peak Season Produce
Late Summer cycle (11 August – 29 September): Harvest and Share

A friendly class for beginners and more advanced students. Practice English conversation, improve English skills to help with schools, doctors and finding a job, get help with using computers. All ages and nationalities welcome.

Careers Cafe
Looking to jump start your career or try something new?
Join us at our weekly drop-in space and access digital resources, connect with peer support, and set aside dedicated time to work on your goals.
Plus, we’ve teamed up with Stay Nimble to offer 6 hours of free one-to-one career coaching for attendees.
Give us a call for a one to one appointment with Georgie, our careers coach, or drop in to use our computers and get advice from our digital support volunteers for help with applications, CV building, and online job searching.

Cam Wednesday Walkers
Enjoy an active 1.5 hour walk in the great outdoors. Everyone is welcome but please note that the walks are fairly brisk, on field and woodland paths, and you may encounter mud, livestock, stiles and steep inclines.
First Wednesday of every month, 10:30am - 12:00pm.

Are you a neurodivergent teen aged 11 - 14? Join us for fun and supportive sessions that will help you make friends, explore your strengths, and get creative. Open to anyone identifying as neurodivergent, no diagnosis required.

Saturdays at GL11
GL11 Community Hub is now open on the first Saturday of every month from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
Each week will feature a mix of GL11-led, tutor-led, and peer-led sessions, including arts and crafts, movement classes, health and wellbeing workshops, and more. The cafe will also be serving rolls and cakes, with the garden and Garden Room available for parents and their little ones to play together.
