    Wreath Making

    Join us and make a beautiful festive wreath with the lovely Clare.

    Using a natural, willow base, we'll decorate our beautiful wreaths with locally sourced foliage, berries, dried grasses, seed heads, dried fruit and ribbons. The design is up to you, we’re here for a good time and some gorgeous greenery this Christmas.

    Glass Painting

    Add a splash of colour to your glass, and your evening!

    If you love a tipple, or know someone who does, join us for a creative Glass Painting Workshop where you’ll learn playful painting techniques to design and decorate your very own gin balloon, wine, or highball glass.

    Delivered by Curly Red Sam Art, an experienced art teacher of 24 years (and artist for even longer), this fun, relaxed session is perfect for beginners and seasoned creatives alike. You’ll leave with beautiful, hand-painted glassware ready to dazzle at your next drink or dinner party, or to gift to someone who adds a little sparkle to your life!

    Print, press, and play with pattern!

    Bored of the same Christmas card designs? Want to create something to stand out on the window-ledge? Discover a whole new way to create with our Lego Printing Workshop, where you’ll use Lego dots and tiles to design bold, colourful prints and craft your own unique artworks or greeting cards.

    It’s creative fun with a playful twist: no artistic experience required, just curiosity and imagination! A perfect activity to do with friends, family or as a treat for you.

    Delivered by Curly Red Sam Art, an experienced art teacher of 24 years (and artist for even longer), this session invites you to experiment, explore, and enjoy the magic of making. You’ll leave with vibrant, hand-printed pieces that are every bit as joyful as the process itself!

    A personalised gift, handmade by you is the perfect way to show you care at Christmas time. This hands-on workshop is a chance for you to explore the magic of alcohol inks – blending, swirling and layering colours to create your own stunning coaster set.

    Delivered by Curly Red Sam Art, an experienced art teacher of 24 years (and artist for even longer), this workshop is a perfect way to spend a Saturday morning, creating and crafting with loved ones just in time for Christmas.

    Marvellous Macrame Decorations

    Feel like adding a personal touch to your Christmas tree this year? Or want to take some time to relax and unwind with your community during the festive period?

    Join Sharon from Knots About Macrame for one of our macrame workshops! You will be guided to create at least 2 beautiful decorations for your home using traditional knotting techniques. No experience necessary, there’ll be lots of encouragement, good conversation and a chance to relax and unwind with others in our community.

    Led by one of our fantastic regulars, Jody, this arts and crafts workshop is a chance to show off your sparkle! With lots of beautiful festive designs to choose from, you will be able to create your own Diamond Art Christmas cards whilst chatting with friends and learning a new skill. Using festive templates, all the colours you can think of and a magical pair of pliers you will create something that you’ll want to show off all year round!

    Hedgerow Hand Creams

    Wave away winter blues with a handcream packed full of herbal goodness. Get hands-on making a beautiful fresh handcream, packed with hedgerow ingredients.

    Come and learn the art of blending your own skincare using natural oils, herbs, butters and waxes with the lovely Laura from Field Fresh Skincare.

    You’ll make a gorgeous pot of handcream to take home – with a label saying you made it! Gift it, or enjoy it yourself. It will keep hands soft and supple from winter through to summer.

    Winter Wellbeing

    Bring your friends for a nurturing evening getting to test and try natural skincare products and learn about the ingredients that make them so special.

    We’ll be thinking about winter skin, how to protect from the elements, and how to get that party glow.

    You’ll blend your own serum to take home, choosing the oils to suit your skin and your needs. A little gift-to-self to keep you centred and calm during the festive season.

    Dark nights are a perfect excuse to turn in early with a relaxing, candle-lit bath.

    In this scent-filled workshop we’ll be creating 3 herbal treats with Laura from Field Fresh Skincare to make your bathtime even more special.

    ~ A herbal bath pocket infuses the water with beneficial plant energies.

    ~ Scented bath salts help you scrub away worries and smooth your skin.

    ~ And a beautiful body oil will help seal in moisture and keep your glow.

  • Cafe cooks serving up a meal from large serving dishes

    GL11 Community Cafe

    Our Community Cafe is open for home cooked food Monday to Friday. Sharon and her team of volunteers serve up hot drinks, cakes and lunches.

    As part of our weekly Warm Wednesdays, the cafe serves £1 hot food all day between 10am and 4.30pm.

    On Thursdays, pre-booking is required for our £5 two course community lunch for the over 55’s. Call us on 01453 548530 to book yourself a space at our community lunch table.

    DiversiTea - GL11's Neurodiverse Cafe at Dursley Methodists

    Join us for GL11's pop-up cafe in Dursley Methodist Church, 10am - 2pm, every fortnight.

    Accessible, affordable and inclusive. Everyone is welcome.

    Run by GL11 Explorers group as a friendly, safe place to meet for song, laughter and fun, with tea, cake, and activities!

    DiversiTea & Cake usually runs first & third Monday each month, other than on days when GL11 is closed.

    Specific Monday dates to the end of July 2025 are:

    6th and 20th January, 3rd February, 3rd and 17th March, 7th April, 19th May, 2nd and 16th June, 7th July.

    Exercise classes for over 60s

    GL11 Community Hub is now offering affordable and enjoyable exercise classes for adults aged 60+ in the GL11 area. Together we'll take part in strength, balance and flexibility exercises before having some social time with tea and coffee.

    £2 per session (£3 from 28 October).

    Tuesdays 2 - 4pm at The Chantry Centre, Long Street, Dursley, GL11 4JB (accessible by public transport, free long stay car park available on Long Street).

    Thursdays 1 -3pm at Stinchcombe Village Hall, The Street, Stinchcombe, GL11 6AP (accessible by public transport, free parking available onsite).

    Careers Cafe

    Looking to jump start your career or try something new?

    Join us at our weekly drop-in space and access digital resources, connect with peer support, and set aside dedicated time to work on your goals.

    Plus, we’ve teamed up with Stay Nimble to offer 6 hours of free one-to-one career coaching for attendees.

    Wednesdays.

    Cam Wednesday Walkers

    Enjoy an active 1.5 hour walk in the great outdoors. Everyone is welcome but please note that the walks are fairly brisk, on field and woodland paths, and you may encounter mud, livestock, stiles and steep inclines.

    First Wednesday of every month, 10:30am - 12:00pm.

    GL11 Community Hub is now open on Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

    Each week will feature a mix of GL11-led, tutor-led, and peer-led sessions, including arts and crafts, movement classes, health and wellbeing workshops, and more. The cafe will also be serving rolls and cakes, with the garden and Garden Room available for parents and their little ones to play together.
