Meet our new Chair of Trustees

We’re delighted to share news of the appointment of Laura Brocklesby as the new Chair of Trustees at GL11 Community Hub following the completion of Doina Cornell’s six-year term.

Laura takes up her new position at an exciting time for the Cam and Dursley charity as it celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary. Each month, GL11 provides a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for approximately 2,200 people, with a range of activities from foodbank and money advice to bike maintenance and craft courses.

It is a huge honour to be stepping in to the Chair of Trustees role at GL11 Community Hub. I have been a trustee with the organisation for just over a year now, and think that GL11 is such an important resource. It provides incredibly diverse services and such valuable support across the local community. So when the opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance to take on this role to further support the charity. I follow in the footsteps of a fantastic outgoing Chair, Doina, who has been an amazing asset to GL11. I hope to carry on from the example she has set in doing whatever I can to support GL11 as it moves forward in its incredible journey.
