Help us raise £16,395 to reimagine the food system in Cam and Dursley

Donate to our crowdfunder before 31 March and Stroud District Council will double your donation! Our new Connect and Nourish project will tackle food poverty and increase skills and connection in Cam and Dursley, but we need your help to get it off the line.

We know that a significant number of people in our area are struggling to access quality and nutritious food, and that things are getting worse, not better; usage of our community food pantry has doubled in the last year. But alongside these challenges sits real potential: local growers want to share their harvests, businesses are keen to donate surplus food and support workshops, and the council is backing community solutions. Most importantly, residents have ideas and energy to contribute.

Connect and Nourish will bring all this together, transforming GL11's outdoor space into a vibrant community garden, redistributing surplus food, creating spaces where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together over shared food, building skills in growing and cooking through workshops and mentoring, and expanding our community pantry to keep nutritious food within everybody's reach.

If we can reach £8,198 by 31 March then Stroud District Council will donate the same amount, doubling everyone’s donations for the project and helping us achieve our full target of £16,395. Donate today and help us reimagine the food system in our community: https://www.spacehive.com/connect-and-nourish
