GL11 is able to provide help, support and advice around money, debt, budgeting and benefits with access to specialist advisors. We are here to offer any help and support we can without judgement.

Community Buddies

Grow in confidence, meet new people in the area and get out and about with GL11 Community Buddies. We’re looking to create genuine, long-lasting friendships to combat loneliness and isolation. One-to-one friendships can take the form of a weekly phone call, a chat over a cup of tea or a walk in the park.

Digital Project

Become more confident with technology and getting online with our support and training sessions. We are able to offer one-to-one advice and training for all your digital needs, be it help getting online, using video calling software to stay in touch with family and friends, or all the other useful things you can do online.

These meetings can be done on the phone, or in person with one of our digital volunteers.

For residents of the GL11 community, please get in touch for more information and to request a call back from one of our volunteers.

Mondays

Messy Mondays 10.00-11.30pm, TT £2.50 per family

Come and see what mess you can create at GL11 using lots of fun materials. Best of all, we do the cleaning up!! (Start date tbc).

 Walking Group: 10-12 noon, £1

Grab your boots and join us on guided walks in the local area. Open to all, just turn up outside GL11 entrance.

 Seated Yoga: 10.30-11.30am, TT, Free

Mindfulness Meditation 11.30am-12.30pm, TT, Free

Independence Trust/NHS Community Wellbeing Service, 12-2pm, Free

Toddler & Baby Group 12.45-2.15pm, TT, £1

Come along for a cuppa, chat and play. Meet new parents and enjoy the run of our garden. For babies and children aged 0-4yrs. (Start date tbc).

Invisible Illness Group 1-3pm, TT, £2

Offering support and activities to anyone living with an illness that is not visible. (Starts 28th Feb).

Art & Chat 1-3pm, Fortnightly, £1

Come and spend a few hours exploring different media – clay, paint, environmental art and many more, while making friends and enjoying a cuppa. (Starts 28th Feb).

 Suited, Booted, Recruited 9.30am-2.30pm, TT, Free

 The Explorers 10am-3pm, TT, £2

Drop in to have fun, make friends and develop new skills. Includes refreshments. Please register if you would like to attend these drop-in sessions.

Knit & Natter/Sewing Bee 10am-12noon, £1

Grab your needles, yarn and fabrics and join us to swap tips, patterns and enjoy a cuppa and catch up. (Starts 1st March).

Stroke Group 2-4pm, Fortnightly, Free

 Adventure Play Time 3.45-5.45pm, TT £18 for 6 weekly sessions

Outdoor adventure activities for 6-10 year olds. Free play, den building, outdoor skills, arts and crafts, active and fun. Limited to 10 places. (Starts tbc).

Come and enjoy fabulous, free and fun cookery sessions to get you super confident in the kitchen. (9th and 30th March).

A small and informal group for those over 55 to become more confident using technology. No need to book, just drop in! (Starts 2nd March).
