Memorial Project Map
/in Activities and Events /by Beth HillMost of us will have experienced loss in some form during the Coronavirus pandemic. This could be a job, education or health, a sense of losing control of your life or a situation. It could be missing those precious moments with family, friends and loved ones or knowing someone who has died. It has been a test of our endurance and resilience.
GL11 Community Hub have worked in partnership with local schools to capture the pandemic experiences of our local children through drawing. We believe it vital to acknowledge both the grief they have experienced, the strength they revealed and the hopes they have for the future.
Alongside the drawings, we have created wings from reclaimed materials. These ‘Wings of Hope’ signify the strength of our community and the resilience of our young people.
