If you look up wellbeing in the dictionary it says

‘the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy’.

Sometimes we all need to pay more attention to our own wellbeing, especially when we’re feeling stressed or overwhelmed. At GL11 we feel it is important for everyone to aim for that state of comfortableness. There are several ways we can work towards this and we know that everybody’s path is different.

Your Way to Wellness

Your Way to Wellness aims to help you focus on personal health and wellbeing. Our Volunteer & Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Sandra Longstreth, can help you find activities to suit you, or support in the right area, with an aim to get you feeling back on track and a healthier happier version of yourself. Maybe that means helping you find voluntary or paid work; offering support for housing and benefits issues; taking up a new form of exercise; meeting new people with similar interests to yourself.

To find out more please contact Sandra on 01453 548530.

“I went to the doctor’s to get a letter about me not driving any more, and me still wanting to. The GP said, “I’ve got a man who can help you with that and more,” and since then he has helped me with so many things. I don’t know what I would have done. I have my driving licence sorted, I have got help with caring for my husband and I even have a new circle of friends.”
