Meet some of our Volunteers

Paul Ayland
Paul Ayland (pictured left) is a family man and has been volunteering at the GL11 Community Project for about 2 years; for the last year Paul has been a member of the Management Board, and has successfully completed a Food Hygiene Course (he is our designated BBQ chef!). Paul helps us with our trips out at the project by self driving the coaches.
Vera Ward
Vera Ward (right) has been volunteering in the GL11 Office for the last 2 years. She has completed an ECDL course at Stroud College and is currently studying for a degree with the Open University. Vera is an active member of our Over 50’s group, and always happy to give a helping hand.
Angie Fisher (left) and Maureen Jarrett (right)
Angie Fisher (far left) and Maureen Jarrett (right) are very active volunteers at the project. Angie started on the Management Board and then volunteered in our Toddler Group. She also helped to start an Over 50’s group. Maureen first came to our Toddler Group with her Granddaughter and has become an important member of our Over 50’s group and can always be relied upon to help with any of our events.
Caron Whitlock
Caron Whitlock (left) has been coming to the GL11 Community Project for about a year with her daughter. She volunteers with the Sparkles group. Caron has accessed a number of courses running at GL11 – from Family Learning to Creative Writing.
