Room Hire

GL11 Community Hub offers a unique venue for room hire with inviting surroundings, welcoming staff and comfortable rooms which are flexible for any meeting or event. Best of all, the proceeds from our room hire charges get reinvested into our vital community services.

Our ground floor is easily accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs, with a disabled toilet and baby changing facilities.

On our first floor we have further baby changing facilities, toilets and a separate small kitchen area which can be used upon request.

Our available rooms, and their differing capacities are outlined below

Blue Room

Capacity – 20 theatre, 15 boardroom

Access – Ground floor location with single door access to our courtyard garden

Our blue room is in a lovely bright position offering lost of natural light. Being on the ground floor it offers access to our courtyard garden with plenty of bench seating, perfect for break out areas and tea breaks in the sunshine (weather permitting!).

Garden Room

Capacity – 20 theatre, 15 boardroom

Access – Ground floor location with disabled access to our large rear garden and decking

Our garden room has views out to the rear garden and provides access to a small decked area with ramps that lead down in to the garden. This can be perfect in the summer for outside workshops and tea breaks (subject to availability).

Green Room

Capacity – 30 theatre, 20 boardroom

Access – First floor location with no wheelchair access at this time

Our Green room is our largest and most flexible room with large windows at both ends providing lots of natural daylight. It has vinyl flooring making it perfect for exercise classes. The large capacity makes it brilliant for presentations and training too.

White Room

Capacity – 2-4

Access – Ground floor location, disabled toilet along the corridor

A more intimate room for 1-2-1 sessions or informal meetings for up to 4 people. It is comfortable and inviting with two tub chairs and a coffee table, with discreet high windows making it perfect for confidential sessions. Further chairs are available upon request to make the room suitable for small informal meetings.

I.T. Suite

I.T Suite

Capacity – 14 computers, 8 boardroom

Facilities – 14 desktop computers, SMART board, wifi available for additional laptops or tablets, central desk and seating for 8-10 people, toilet off main room

Access – Ground floor location with rear access available, making it a self-contained space if required

A large and modern IT suite equipped with teaching SMART board and break out space in the centre of the room for up to 10 people. Perfect for I.T. classes, training sessions or job search groups.

Art Room

Capacity – 10 boardroom

Access –  First floor location with no wheelchair access at this time, toilets and baby changing available on this level

A well-equipped bright room on the first floor of our building, overlooking our back garden, with views of Cam Peak. The art room has two sinks and worktops with half the room having wipe clean flooring, making it perfect for messy art projects!

Kitchen

Capacity – 4

Facilities – Large catering gas oven and hob with extractor, large worktop electric oven, stainless steel worktops, catering style double sink, separate handwashing sink, urn and coffee percolator, fridge, food processors etc

Access – Ground floor location with rear access available, serving hatch to main café area

Our large catering kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may wish for. The facilities and equipment are endless, with the above list being in no way exhaustive. We have a central stainless steel worktop island, with the equipment surrounding it on three sides. The kitchen has rear access in addition to access to our café area and also has a large serving hatch linking the kitchen with the café.

Creche Room

Available as a complimentary addition to any room booking. Extra charges apply and is subject to availability.

All bookings are invoiced at the end of each calendar month.

Cancellation policy

We require 5 working days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival in order for us to provide you with 100% refund. If you do not notify us about your cancellation or any changes by 5 working days before your scheduled arrival we will need to take full payment for your booking.
