Employment Support

Everyone is unique and we all have a different path to finding the right employment opportunity for us. Anyone can experience difficulty finding work for personal, health or family reasons, and it often feels beyond our control. Our aim is to help you take positive steps toward employment, whether that be building confidence, accessing training and qualifications or tips for job searching.
At GL11, we offer different kinds of employment support depending on your path.

The GEM Project

We are proud to be part of the Gloucestershire-wide Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Project. This unique partnership of community-based organisations provides tailored guidance for finding work, training or volunteering.
GEM is led by our expert key workers, Tristan and Lucy, who give personalised one-to-one employability support. In our friendly, trusting space, those who want support can work with Tristan and Lucy to build self-esteem and motivation, develop skills and qualifications and access training, education and work opportunities.
To join GEM, contact Tristan at tristandunlop@gl11.org.uk or Lucy at lucyfarmer@gl11.org.uk, or call us on 01453 548 530.
For more information, visit the GEM Project website.

The GEM Project aims to engage with 1,100 people over the next three years until December 2019.

GEM is jointly funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the European Social Fund, and is managed by Gloucestershire Gateway Trust on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council.
