has been a UK Online Centre since April 2010. This means we are part of
a national scheme aimed at developing confidence and skills amongst people
who have no or very little knowledge of the exciting world of the internet.
The following are a sample of comments from students attending our workshops: “It’s brilliant for over 60s because I’ve learnt how to use computer keyboard, e-mail and attachments which I thought I would never do. Also the teacher (Helen) is very patient”. “I
have found it very helpful. It has given me lots of confidence. I can now
start using the PC without any worry. Helen has been very helpful”. “It provides a very good general information regarding computing and gives you more confidence” “I find it very informative and helpful, especially that the tutor leaves us alone to try and find our own mistakes and does not pressurize us in anyway unless to ask for help.” |

Mum Beccy Noble talking about her first visit to the Project with her baby
daughter Tianna:
"Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and I immediately felt at home. It was a chance for us both to make friends because there is a free crèche. It's walking distance and there's always something going on. I didn't know a soul before – now I really feel part of the community." |
