Administrator/IT Support (16 hours p.w., term time only)

To provide reception and general administration duties in a busy working environment with a great deal of contact with local residents and visitors. To be the friendly, welcoming face of GL11.

'Try to Remember' project
Read about our 'Try to Remember' project which is currently featured on the Barnwood House Trust website under 'People we've helped'. GL11 received a £16,100 grant from Barnwood to enable the project to take place. We have also secured a' further £750 in funding to enable us to put on a celebratory event which will do justice to the work created through this project. The provisional date for this will be Thursday 14th October - do come along to see the work created. This will include photographs taken to accompany the poetry and, hopefully the completed anthology publication.

GL11 achieves a successful review of its Investor in People status
GL11 is delighted to have achieved a successful review of its Investor in People status. Ann Wheeler, Project Manager, says “This is great news for us. Through this review, we’ve shown that we continue to meet the requirements of this national standard. It demonstrates to our funders, partner organisations, service users and local communities that we are a professional organisation committed to supporting our staff and volunteers, and truly involving them in shaping and delivering our local services."

Funding helps young people work all year round
A community project which works with young people in the Cam area will be able to work all year round, thanks to a grant from the Voluntary Sector Youth Capital (VSYC) fund.
GL11 was awarded £8,562 from the fund to buy a new shed for its Bike Shed project for 11-19 year olds. Bike Shed is a project for young people who learn practical skills and repair and refurbish bikes donated for the local community. Read more...

Our new status...
From 1 October 2009 GL11 Community Project will operate as a Registered Charity, and as a Company Limited by Guarantee. This does not alter our business aims, objectives or operational activities. From a governance perspective, we now have a group of Directors supported by a Company Secretary, in addition to a Board of Trustees. Registered in England and Wales, our Company Number is 6855624. Our new Charity Number is: 1130096.
